Stefanie Peachey, BA, MSW, RSW, Acc.FM
Stefanie Peachey, BA, MSW, RSW, Acc.FM , is a registered social worker and accredited family mediator in Ontario and is the founder and director of Peachey Counselling and Family Support. Through her work as a mental health professional, Stefanie’s goal is to normalize the reality that everyone faces challenges. When you are struggling, it’s easy to assume you are the only one with problems. However, the truth is quite the opposite. At some point or another, we all face issues and could use some support and guidance.
Whether that be navigating a difficult separation and divorce, an abusive partner or mental health concerns, Stefanie believes having a sense of control when faced with change and crisis, is one of the keys to staying resilient and positive. There is nothing she loves more than creating a connection with her clients and empowering them to take charge of their well-being. Stefanie is one of a handful of mental health professionals in the Halton-Hamilton Region in Ontario who offers specialized services including Separation and Divorce Counselling, Parenting Plan Evaluations, Mediation for Parenting Plans, Co-Parent Counselling, Collaborative Law and Voice of Child Reports.
She’s created several workshops and online courses that support mental health including Kids First Co-Parenting and Healthy@Work, a Mental Health for the Workplace program. Further she is the current co-chair of the Hamilton Halton Collaborative Law group and an instructor with York University’s Family Mediation program. Awarded Burlington Post’s Reader’s Choice Award for Mental Health Consultant multiple times, Stefanie is a contributing writer for Today’s Parent and has been featured in the media as a trusted expert on Intimate Partner Violence.
