Program Description:
Fundamentals of the CCE’s job are presented; including role, assisting the court, Best Interest factors, bias, logical fallacies, ethics, law, and best practice. A framework and method are provided for evaluating parenting behaviors and skill. The framework is parenting as a job and Post-Separation Parenting as a job-share. The parenting job description and the job-share job description are both presented.
Elements common to Best Interest standards found in various jurisdictions are discussed. Four of those common elements are addressed in this training.
This training also addresses the impact of parental animus and hostility on children as being an intolerable conflict and also addresses the impact children can have on the Shared Parenting relationship. The job description is defined as well as the statutory, regulatory, ethical, and best practice foundations. Five levels of Shared Parenting are listed and defined.
This training is appropriate for new CCEs and experienced CCEs seeking new information and refresher on foundational principles
